LEVEL 3: Why did I choose my major? 🦋

Hello everyone!

Thank you very much for stopping by again. 

As I said in my last post, the truth is that theatrical design was not my first career choice. When I was a child I dreamed of being a veterinarian, but turns out I am terrified of blood so let’s just say that dream did not come true.

Over the years, I began to enter in the world of art as I mentioned already. My mother took me to various art classes until I came up with the idea of ​​becoming an actress.

In my last year of school, I had already decided that I wanted to work in theater. I applied to two universities to enter that career, but I did not pass the tests. So, after some reconsideration, I decided to try my luck in the Theatrical Design world. 

I didn't know anything about the major, to be honest I didn't even know it existed. I had no expectations but as time went by I discovered that I really liked it. Now every time I watch a play I do it with a different set of eyes, since I understand from first-hand the work behind it. 

Despite all the ups and downs, and the fact that sometimes my mental health is not at its finest, I must admit that I chose the right career.

If I could choose a job, it would be art direction in movies and music videos since I am interested in the audiovisual world.

It's amazing to watch the years go by and realize that I am in my fourth year of my degree 👀
